Linda Emigh Warren, our pianist, organist, and director of our adult's and children's choirs, graduated from Rhodes College in 1969 (it was Southwestern at Memphis at the time), with a Bachelor of Music in Church Music with a concentration in voice and organ. She has been a church musician since 1964 as soloist, organist, pianist, adult choir director, and children’s choir director. Her love of singing took her to Inspiration Point Fine Arts Colony in Eureka Springs, Arkansas during her college years and shortly thereafter to perform in several operas. For three years she performed with a band in a local Memphis nightclub. Linda received her Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Memphis and has 45 hours of graduate work above her masters. She has taught music in private schools, and has taught voice and piano. She is now the music teacher at Farmington Elementary School in Germantown. Linda enjoys reading, writing and arranging music, gardening, bird watching, working crossword puzzles, walking with her dog, and being with her husband and family.
